'Scribble' sculptures by Anne Laycock

Anne creates these incredible 'Scribble' pieces by pushing the limits of clay as a sculptural medium.

"I use the extruder machine as a pencil, making lengths of 'clay ribbons' which I essentially draw forms with. My scribble vessels are bold and energetic, concentrating on form to give visual appeal. All outcomes are a celebration of an unsung process and the extraordinary material qualities of clay."

Orange Scribble £420
Red Scribble £960

On a cheery note :)

Get 'old fashioned' and make someone's day with a thoughtful hand-written card!

50:50 will show alongside our main exhibition The Architecture of Cloth, Colour and Space. This features the work of Ptolemy Mann, a renowned weaver who designed the fa├žade to the impressive Kings Mill Hospital in Mansfield.

New work from Hannah Lobley for the 50:50 showcase!

Terracotta plates by Suet Yi

Delicate and expressive, I love how playful these plates are, combining neutral glazes and strong shots of colour.

Suet Yi Yip makes each plate individually, creating a unique design by brushing on glazes, wiping them off, scratching parts away...

Each has a plate hook on the back so they can be hung. Priced between £18-90.
